Korean guide, Alex Kim is so kind and good. He explained us about Cedar Creek wine in detail and easily, and told us how to enjoy it more easily. He showed confidence and passion for the wine they made, and he gave details to each question we asked. Also we asked him what wine would be good for us. That wine was so delicious that I purchased a total of 5 bottles of 3 bottles of wine and 2 other bottles of wine in online. It's a 2018 GEWURZTRAMINER wine. I think it'd be good to release it on BC liquor shop. The wine testing location and the winery building were so pretty that I was able to get a lot of good pictures.
Booked a members wine tasting and story experience with Alex Kim - an incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and attentive host. If he was the first one to greet us at the door this would have been a 5 star review. Otherwise, my mid-20s friends and I were left waiting outside for 20-30 minutes for "our table to be ready" despite several other similar-sized parties getting seated and served after our arrival - having mentioned they were members. Once another host came to check if we had been spoken to, it was discovered that our table had been ready the whole time. It was only once we mentioned we were members while at the table that the entire atmosphere changed and we were treated with the service that should have been given at the outset. Once Alex Kim was introduced to our table thereafter - he lightened the mood and made our party overlook the poor service given prior. Highly recommend booking an experience with him where possible.
wow I cant tell you how great this place is. We enjoyed the lunch tasting menu (Highly suggest all getting different things and sharing, makes for a great family style lunch and keeps costs down) and it was fantastic. The food is just absolutely unreal, the wine pairings are well thought out and well explained by the waitresses that work here. The staff are wonderful and kind, and you can tell they enjoy themselves at work. The property itself is just stunning and has a ton of opportunities for photo ops. This is an absolute must, especially if you enjoy Mission Hill as this is similar only updated in my opinion.
There was a hair in my wife's dish which was taken back to be replaced. Since we wanted to all eat together we sent all the food back to be warmed so it didn't get cold while we waited. The severs were great, however the manager didn't apologize for the hair in the meal and we thought she made us feel guilty for sending back our meals replying that it would take longer. When you are at a high-end establishment I don't think it is unreasonable to send back a meal for a hair being in it and wanting to eat at the same time as all the guests while sipping our wine. We were going to purchase wine from the store as we really love cedar creek, however we didn't get a good vibe or feel like appreciated guests. When the food did arrive it was really good. Highly recommend the cod meal.
