The "nurse" assigned to take care of my mom was completely disorganized and kept getting her info wrong. One time she told me she left after my mom told her to leave because there's too much snow outside, even though she was supposed to socialize with my mom for two hours. Another person at the company told me that it was because my mother isn't very social. Isn't this part of the nurse's job and shouldn't they know how to handle these situations with old people who have dementia? This is supposed to be a senior home service. One time this "nurse" texted me and asked me to buy $200 worth of herbal ingredients and then later kept saying she will come to my house to pick them up, without telling me that each time she comes to my house, even if she doesn't stay, it would cost me $80 per visit. After I told her it wasn't reasonable, she still kept texting me about picking up those ingredients. It was quite disturbing. It was impossible to schedule anything with this company because the person in charge of schedule kept getting that nurse's availability wrong. When I tried to talk to her on the phone, one time she said I could schedule the dates directly with the nurse but the next time told me I was making things more confusing by scheduling without her involvement. Then she would blame my mom for wanting to change the schedule all the time while my mother was never once involved with the scheduling. It was several months of back and forth like this and a massive confusion. Never once did I get any apology from them, and there was even some aggression in the responses. It was a frustrating experience and an overall waste of time.
I recommend The nurse next door to everyone that needs this type of service. Imelda is an amazing business owner and she goes way past her call of duty!!!
Do not waste your $, folks. I've worked at this establishment for years. They hire uncertified caregivers, unbonded and tell clients they are. Very unprofessional????????One of my dearest clients had very expensive jewelry from her great grandmother stolen and when she called to complain, they HUNG UP on her...so sad. Another client had no fridge, stove or bed and were told that's this 90 plus year old sweet woman needed us and the owner/"boss" never did anything about it and never even went to see her. I genuinely love all ppl and when all the other caregivers went to another in home care agency, I knew I had to leave too. Too hurtful being with NND. The agency I work for now is professional, organized, and most importantly to me...loving and kind. I hope I can save another family from heartache.
