Odd experience all around! When building a new home there is always another expense one doesn’t expect. Also everything has gone up in price due to the building frenzy and everything is delayed - frustrating! The owner Brent and I had already agreed to $2,900 for shutters for one sliding door. After an exact measurement my coverings would cost even more - understandable. I happen to mentioned “in general” that my budget is very challenged with all that’s going on. I was hoping he would give me a break on the additional cost and perhaps he’d be sensitive to all the stress and frustrations. Instead he wrote me a long email that he was “insulted”. So bizarre! When has it become an insult to ask or hint for a break on costs? He had every right to name his price regardless and I would have bought or not. I was taken back to be “dismissed” as a customer since I was not demanding, nor expecting anything just hopeful. He accused me of holding him to the $2,900 which I did NOT…how can I? He accused me of saying: You better do something about it” not sure what he means and I never said anything remotely like that! This business owner is the strangest I have ever come across! Brent made excuses for his messy showroom saying he had been very busy. That explains it! - He can actually deny business. Personally, I saw vey little I liked in his showroom. After seeing another business’s displays I realized why - his are outdated and look like they have been there for many years. I would NEVER recommend this window treatment shop to anyone.

Brent is knowledgeable and professional. He measured, then ordered, and the Hunter Douglas factory took around 4 weeks to fulfill. He updated me during the process, so I had a relative install timeline. Once the blinds arrived in Kelowna, he promptly returned to do the install, which went buttery smooth. Brent went the extra mile to make sure everything was just right. Hunter Douglas products are of exceptional quality, and well worth the cost. This was my second time using SP Interiors, and I will be calling them for my next project as well. Thanks SP!
